The Cathars were a religious sect, considered heretics by the Catholic Church, but considered by many others to have originated on the basis of the faith Mary Magdalene brought with her to the region in her time.  

In 1243–44, the Cathars, who had sought refuge at the Montségur fortress, endured a prolonged siege of​​ Montségur. In March 1244, the Cathars finally surrendered, and approx. 244 men and women, children and adults walked singing down the mountain and were burned at a huge bonfire at the foot of​​ the mountain when they refused to renounce their faith.

According to the book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", there was a mythical treasure on Montségur related to the Holy Grail, which was immediately smuggled away before the Cathars surrendered.

There is a Cathar prophecy uttered by the last known Parfait, Guilhem Belibaste, moments before he was interrogated and burned at the stake in the Occitan region of southern France on 21 August at. 8, 1321. This prophecy spoke of how 'we will return again in 700 years when the laurel turns green'. That was 700 years ago. 2021 will be the fulfillment of​​ this prophecy - and we must not gather to learn anything, but to remember - everything.
